Internet addiction is a very real phenonema.The relationships that can develop on the net fill a need for short intense experiences which while exciting in the short term can result in difficulty developing more sustainable long term relationships. The "buzz" that comes from the red inbox flag is like a short hit..not disimilar to that first cigarette of the morning.
